We are excited to announce the launch of our Whole School Book Club featuring the #1 New York Times Bestseller The ​One & Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. This initiative is designed to bring families together through the joy of reading and create a shared literary experience for both parents and students.

Book Club Details 

​Start Date: January 6th, 2025
Duration: 4 weeks
How it Works: Families are invited to read The One & Only Ivan together at home. Library discussions and activities related to the book will complement the at-home reading experience. All suggested activities are totally optional :-) 

How Parents Can Get Involved

  1. Get The Book: A complimentary copy of the book will be sent home with the oldest child in your family after our kick-off assembly on Monday January 6th.
  2. Read Together: Set aside dedicated time during the week to read The One & Only Ivan as a family. Enjoy the magical story of Ivan and his friends together. If weeknights are busy feel free to use the weekend to catch up on your reading.
  3. Discuss and Engage: Encourage open discussions about the characters, plot, and themes of the book. Share your thoughts and reflections with your child.
